The Department of Homeland Security along with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services just announced the list of countries that have been approved for H-2A and H-2B visa eligibility. H-2A and H-2B visas exist to allow employers based in the United States to bring over employees from other countries to work temporarily in nonagricultural and agricultural jobs. It is important to note that even if a country of origin isn’t on the approved eligibility list, the USCIS may consider an application for approval anyway on a case-by-case basis.
The eligible countries for H-2A and H-2B visa applicants are as follows: Andorra; Argentina; Australia; Austria; Barbados; Belgium; Brazil; Brunei; Bulgaria; Canada; Chile; Colombia; Costa Rica; Croatia; Czech Republic; Denmark; Dominican Republic; Ecuador; El Salvador; Estonia; Ethiopia; Fiji; Finland; France; Germany; Greece; Grenada; Guatemala; Honduras; Hungary; Iceland; Ireland; Israel; Italy; Jamaica; Japan; Kiribati; Latvia; Lichtenstein; Lithuania; Luxembourg; Macedonia; Masgascar; Malta; Moldova (H-2A eligible only); Mexico; Monaco; Mongolia; Montenegro; Nauru; The Netherlands; New Zealand; Norway; Panama; Papua New Guinea; Peru; The Philippines; Poland; Portugal; Romania; San Marino; Serbia; Singapore; Sovakia; Slovenia; Solomon Islands; South Africa; Sourth Korea; Spain; St. Vincent & the Grenadines; Sweden; Switzerland; Taiwan; Thailand; Timor-Leste; Tonga; Turkey; Tuvalu; Ukraine; United Kingdon; Uruguay; Vanuatu
