Cheryl R. David has been practicing immigration law since 1995. Cheryl R. David handles all aspects of immigration law with an emphasis on deportation and family-based cases. Currently, she is Chair of the national liaison committee with U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement on behalf of AILA; She is a Director on AILA's Board of Governors; Chair of AILA NY ICE - Detention & Removal Committee and Chair of the NY AILA Chapter of the juvenile pro-bono committee with the executive office for Immigration Review; She is on the Board of Directors of the City Bar Fund. In addition, she is a member of the Immigration & Nationality Committee of the City Bar.

Prior to opening her own practice she was an associate for five years at Bretz & Coven, LLP where her main area of concentration was deportation defense of criminal aliens. In addition to Bretz & Coven, LLP she worked for Allen E. Kaye, 32B-J as in house counsel and Wilens & Baker. Ms. David has developed an expertise in complicated deportation and family based cases.

Ms. David is a frequent lecturer on deportation and family-based immigration issues. She is admitted to the bar in N.Y., M.A., the Second Circuit, and the Southern and Eastern Districts of N.Y.
